| The property is situated in the north of the Alpilles, about 5.5km from the centre of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. And in 15 minutes by car you can get to Beaucaire and Tarascon, the twin towns on the edge of the Rhône. 30 minutes drive to Avignon and an hour to the coastal towns of Aigues Mortes, Grau du Roi, Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Martigues of the Old Port in Marseille. By bike you can visit the attractive villages in the Alpilles: Les Baux, Fontvieille, Paradou or Maussane. All year round there are superb walks but you can only walk along the canal des Alpilles during the summer. The forest is a ‘Red Zone’ in the hottest summer months between mid June and mid August because of the high risk of fires. |

| The farm is suitable for 8 people with a total surface area of approx. 300m². On the first floor there are three bedrooms and 2 shower rooms. On the ground floor a bedroom and large kitchen.
1st floor bedrooms: the blue room has 2 beds: one double (140 x 190cm) and a single (120 x 190cm with canopy). The yellow room has two singles (90 x 190cm) as does the red room. At the end of the corridor are the two shower rooms each with shower, washbasin and WC.
Ground floor bedroom: the green room has a double bed and a large fireplace. The spacious kitchen has a round wooden table for 10 and all the necessities (gas cooker with electric rings, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher). Pots, pans, cutlery, different sized glasses and basic cooking ingredients (olive oil, vinegar, spices etc). In a corner of the kitchen is a barbecue, which can also be used for heating in the winter or during cooler spells. In the middle part of the building is a large sitting room with mezzanine & television. The sitting room is also the dining room, with its big wooden table, and an ideal place for drinks (small table and chairs). The large 18th Century fireplace gives the room a charm of its own. It draws well and firewood is available in the garage. On the first floor next to the mezzanine is a small workroom with an electric sewing machine, ironing board, and large table. The television has all the usual French channels and about 30 European channels, excluding Swiss. The whole building is centrally heated. The courtyard measures 350m² and comprises a vine-covered pergola and is an ideal play area for small kids or pets. The sunniest part of the garden is by the swimming pool where you will find a selection of sunloungers and a large parasol and covered pergola offer adequate shade during the hottest hours of the day. The weekly price is based on a Saturday to Saturday booking (arrival from 13h on and departure before 10h). All bed and bath linen is included, as is the final cleaning. There is a reduction in price for smaller groups (see www.saint-remy-alpilles.ch)
