Location and surroundings
The village of Meynes (2000 inhabitants) is between Provence and Languedoc, 5 minutes from the Pont du Gard. Le Clos Méjean is ideally situated at the edge of the village in a quiet area. The house is surrounded by an old stone wall and has a huge garden well stocked with beautiful trees (olive, fig, nut, bamboo and acacia) and roses, oleander, mulberry, grenadine, palms and other typically Mediterranean vegetation. The swimming pool measures 10 x 5 and is looked after weekly by a pool specialist. Sun loungers are provided. Clos Méjean is a stone mas built about 160 years ago which has been totally renovated. It has two separate apartments, which can either be rented as a whole or separately. Each apartment has its own access to the garden and pool, as well as a summer kitchen and separate parking area. Each apartment has been tastefully renovated. Individual water treatment for non-chlorinated drinking water, secure parking area, barbecue, garden furniture, swimming pool and parasols are all at your disposal.

Shopping possibilities
In Meynes there are 2 bakeries, a grocery store and a chemist. Good-sized supermarkets are at Remoulins & Montfrin, about 5km away. Friday is market day in Remoulins where you’ll find an excellent choice of produce (of special note the cheese lady, the ‘charcutier’ and the olive seller). On Saturdays is the colourful market in the old town of Uzès.

House/Flat description
Ground floor: fully fitted kitchen with eating area, dishwasher and washing machine. Sitting room with sofa bed. 1st floor: 2 double bedrooms (160 x 200cm) overlooking the garden, large bright bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. 2nd floor: attic room with beds and extra mattresses, great for kids. Direct access to the garden, pool, barbecue, large eating area with tables and chairs. This apartment can be rented with Fanny (see previous description).

Arrival and departure

Always Saturday to Saturday – arrival from 16h onwards and departure before 10h.

Payment conditions

The booking is considered firm on receipt of 25% of the total cost. The balance is payable 30 days before the rental date. On receipt of the total payment, we will send you all the necessary paperwork and detailed directions on how to get there.
