Johann and Marie opened their restaurant in August 2006 after a huge renovation project. It has now become increasingly difficult to get a table without booking in advance. Those who have already been there know why. The interior design of the old walls, and its sheltered courtyard, immediately stir up the joy of Mediterranean living, a feeling that gets stronger when Marie presents you with the large blackboard menu. Full of fresh market produce. Johann insists on the best and buys his ingredients from well-selected local suppliers. There is a choice of 4 dishes for starter, main course and dessert and you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see what you can get for 25 euros. The lunchtime menu which is less elaborate costs only 11,50 euros. Johann calculates everything down to the last penny and his success proves him right.
This young man, who looks younger than his 30 years, moved here from Paris to get away from the stress of city life. He has settled in well and has quickly won over the hearts of the locals as well as the visitors.
You know it’s getting late when the church bells ring – you can see the church from the terrace – it really is so easy to lose track of time in this oasis.
Open: Sunday to Monday, lunchtime & evening
